BLACK PEAR JOGGERS INAUGURAL RACE

Croome Capability Canter

Croome Park

7th November, 2010 at 10am

We are in the process of organising our first race (with agreement from National Trust) at Croome Park. Our purpose is to provide a race that allows you to run through and enjoy the first complete parkland created by Lancelot “Capability” Brown and help raise funds towards the restoration costs (approx £5m) for Croome Court recently leased to National Trust by Croome Heritage Trust.

Our race is approximately 6 and a half miles long, multi-terrain with one or two lumps in it and meanders through beautiful parkland and gives splendid views across South Worcestershire. The route skirts the Court and follows and crosses the “River Croome” created to mirror the River Severn taking in some of the eye catchers designed to “draw the eye” across the park. Entries are restricted to 250 to limit the damage caused to this wonderful parkland.
