I feel I have a duty to all those runners who "suffer" in the same way I do just to get it out in the open (nowt new there then!)
Does anybody really have any remedies to stop this as I have just wasted another race entry fee because I needed to stop urgently during Crowle 10k. I don't have the speed of Paula Radcliffe to get away with it in towns and cities! I've been running for approx 3 years now and it hasn't changed. I get faster, fitter, stronger but still manage to throw races because I have to stop.
Strangely enough there doesn't seem to be a pattern to my problem as I sometimes have to stop more than once during a 3-4 miler but I other times I've been able to complete marathons or longer training runs without having to stop. I really don't want to resort to remedies like Imodium as i don't think this is the best thing for my body but.........
Anyway, many thanks to all those who accept that this is what I'm like and continue to run with me knowing that I will more than likely have to stop!
